Pengaruh Daun Pepaya (Carica papaya L.) terhadap Peningkatan Trombosit pada Pasien Demam Berdarah Dengue

Abstract


Demam berdarah dengue merupakan penyakit infeksi yang disebabkan oleh virus dengue dan dibawa oleh nyamuk Aedes aegypti. Penyakit ini menyebabkan peningkatan hematokrit, penurunan hemoglobin, leukosit normal atau menurun, dan penurunan trombosit (trombositopenia). Trombositopenia merupakan salah satu faktor risiko terjadinya perdarahan. Salah satu tanaman yang mampu meningkatkan trombosit pada pasien demam berdarah adalah daun pepaya. Kandungan enzim proteinolitik seperti papain dan chymopapain dapat membantu meningkatkan jumlah trombosit, fraksi alkaloid (carpaine) terbukti bertanggung jawab atas aktivitas anti-trombositopenia, serta flavonol dan flavonoid menstimulan  produksi sel darah, menghambat NS2B-NS3 protease dan mencegah perakitan virus DEN-2. Daun pepaya juga mempengaruhi produksi Gen ALOX-12 dan PTAFR yang berperan dalam produksi trombosit. Pada review ini, pencarian data primer dilakukan dengan secara online, berupa jurnal nasional maupun jurnal internasional 10 tahun terakhir (2009-2017). Hasil diperoleh dari beberapa jurnal dan sumber lainnya dapat diketahui mekanisme pengaruh daun pepaya dalam meningkatkan trombosit.
